Educate Your Children

Everyone knows educating children is vital to keep them safe on the Internet.

Do you know what your children are looking at online?  Do you know who they are chatting to on MSN Messenger?  They are the very things parents need to be aware of.  Talk to your children about these issues.

Parents and children need to make time to sit together and talk about the best way to use the Internet that will protect the child and give peace of mind for the parent.  Children require guidelines and some simple rules for everyday use of the Internet.

NetAlert can help!  We have created free educational programs for different age groups.  You might like to try the following:

Netty's World

Netty’s World (www.nettysworld.com.au) is designed for young children starting out on the Internet. It provides an interactive and safe environment for children to play in, whilst providing important messages about Internet safety.

NetAlert encourages parents to take their children through the online storybook, “Netty’s Net Adventure” where important Internet safety messages are explained. Following this, children are encouraged to play the interactive games where the Internet safety messages are reinforced. Visit Netty's World (www.nettysworld.com.au) today.

CyberSafe Schools

CyberSafe Schools is an education program that has been designed for schools but can also be used by parents in the home.

There are three areas in the CyberSafe Schools Program:

New resources will be continually developed for this program, so keep an eye out for something you can use in the home.

You can use any of the materials NetAlert have created to help educate your children about Internet safety.

Remember, educating your children about safe use of the Internet is one of the most important aspects of online safety.
