The objectives of the filter trial were to provide quantitative results on the impact on performance caused by server based Internet content filters with the filter enabled and disabled together with results for accuracy of blocking when tested with lists of sites with prohibited content. In addition, the filter trial assesses the impact the server based filters have on broadband performance and provides information regarding the subjective feedback from typical users when accessing broadband services with server based content filters enabled and disabled.
