Project Goals

NetAlert aims through the CyberSafe Schools program to:

• educate school students in Australia about safe Internet practice
  
  
• provide resources to teachers in schools to deliver teaching programs that are informed by Internet safety
  
  
• integrate Internet safety education across the curriculum
  
  
• develop effective relationships with State and Territory government and private school representatives in order to develop resources appropriate to education jurisdictions and sectors
  
  
• develop and enhance relationships with State and Territory education departments
  
  
• explore ways in which the whole school community – students, teachers, parents and friends – can be involved in Internet safety education
  
  
• integrate the CyberSafe Schools project with other NetAlert projects
  
  
• complement other Internet safety materials that are already available to teachers
